Officials investigating possible murder-suicide in Rodeo
Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office officials said a shooting that left two people dead Wednesday afternoon in Rodeo is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.

RODEO, Calif. (KGO) -- Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office officials said a shooting that left two people dead Wednesday afternoon in Rodeo is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Sandy Cove Drive, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Official said it may be a possible murder-suicide between a woman and her boyfriend. The female victim was shot first, according to investigators. Then, officials said the man turned the weapon on himself.

"We were dispatched to a possible shots fired call, we arrived on scene and found two people down on the street. Investigations is handling it now and it's being investigated as a murder-suicide," Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office Lt. Sean Yates said.
