ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) --In the East Bay early Thursday evening, a deadly officer-involved shooting happened at 168th Avenue and East 14th Street. The intersection was blocked for hours while the scene was under investigation.
Witnesses called 911 around 4:45 p.m. and said a man was beating up a woman. The suspect has a history of domestic violence and was seen violently attacking the woman on the street and smashing her head against his car.

Investigators are also looking into reports that the suspect was trying to hit the officer and the woman with his car when he was killed.
