Over 1,600 customers without power in Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, Calif. -- PG&E is investigating the cause of a power outage in Pleasanton Sunday evening after customers reported hearing a loud noise, a utility spokesman said.

The power outage impacting 1,604 customers in an area including Muirwood Drive, Forest Hill Drive and Cottonwood Lane was reported shortly after 4 p.m., PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

The affected area is near Muirwood Community Park west of Interstate Highway 680.

There is no estimated time of when the power will be restored, he said.
