Oakland police arrest armed suspect after home invasion

OAKLAND,Calif. -- Police arrested one suspect and are still looking for another in an armed home invasion robbery in Oakland's Redwood Heights neighborhood Friday

morning.

Two men robbed a home at 5:22 a.m. in the 3800 block of Bayo Street, police Capt. Steven Tull said.

Police responded and one suspect was quickly arrested. Officers searched the area for the second suspect but had canceled the search as of

about 9:30 a.m.

Investigators do not have a detailed description of the second suspect but are hoping to learn more from the suspect in custody, Tull said.
