Police investigating after seven people injured in Antioch shooting

ANTIOCH, Calif. -- Seven men were wounded in a shooting in Antioch late Saturday night, police said today.

Officers responded around 11:50 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 5500 block of Cedar Point Way, where they found five men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.

All five were taken to local hospitals for treatment and all are expected to survive their injuries, police said.

Police said two more men admitted to area hospitals with gunshot wounds around the same time were determined to be victims of the same shooting.

However, the two victims left the hospital before officers could arrive, according to police.

Police have not identified any suspects in connection with the shooting, which remains under investigation.
