Police search for shooter after woman shot in San Jose
Tuesday night, there was a manhunt underway for a shooter, after a woman was shot at a restaurant on Senter Road in San Jose.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- The search is on in the South Bay for the gunman who shot a woman at a San Jose restaurant. She is in stable condition and he is on the run.

The shooting happened at the Senter Square Shopping Center. The May Hong restaurant is in between a hair and nails place and a Subway sandwich shop. Inside the restaurant is where the woman had been shot at least once.

Police say they received a call just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night. The woman, who police say was an innocent bystander, was taken to a local hospital. She is listed as stable. So far no details are being released about what happened leading up to the shooting. Police say there are no suspects in custody. A sign on the restaurant says security cameras in use. If there is video of what took place, police will be looking at it to help them in their investigation.

The Subway sandwich shop next door was open at the time of the shooting. There is no word on witnesses.
