Rowers make epic journey from Monterey to Hawaii

HONOLULU (KGO) -- A team of rowers is enjoying sweet victory after an epic journey from Monterey to Hawaii.

The four-man crew celebrated in Honolulu after finishing first in the Great Pacific Race.

It took them 43 days, two hours, and 30 minutes to row 2,400 nautical miles.

"Team Uniting Nations Row" battled nasty weather and broken equipment.

But, that wasn't the tough part.

They say their biggest challenge was dealing with four different personalities in a very small boat.
