SALINAS, Calif. -- Authorities have arrested a 50-year-old Salinas woman suspected of initiating a three-year-long sexual relationship with a boy.

The woman, Annette Banda - also known as Anette Vink - is accused of having started the relationship in 2010 with a child who was 14 at the time.

According to Monterey County District Attorney Dean Flippo, Banda was taken into custody on Thursday for a 90-day evaluation.

Once the evaluation has concluded, she will be sentenced before Judge Richard Curtis.

According to Flippo, Banda has been charged with committing four felony lewd acts, and one felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse.

She faces a potential prison sentence of five years and eight months, according to Flippo.
