SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Firefighters extinguish a one-alarm house fire in San Jose Tuesday morning.
At 4:53 a.m., firefighters first received a report of the blaze, happening at a home on North 14th Street at Empire Street, according to a fire dispatcher.
Fire crews were able to get both people out of the house safely.
The fire was contained to the just the kitchen. Firefighters cut a hole in the roof to let out some of the heat.
There are no injuries reported. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced couple.
