Man found fatally stabbed in San Jose

A man found dead in San Jose early this morning was apparently stabbed, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a man down on the ground in the 500 block of Piercy Road around 1:20 a.m., according to police.



Arriving officers found the man unconscious with visible injuries. He was not breathing and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The man had suffered at least one stab wound. His death is San Jose's 18th homicide of the year, according to police.

Police are investigating the death of man in San Jose this morning, a police spokesman said.
