SAN JOSE --Police are investigating a homicide that happened in San Jose on Thursday night, a police sergeant said.
Officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 1000 block of South 12th Street around 10:10 p.m., Sgt. Heather Randol said.
Arriving officers found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene, she said.
Police have not identified the victim pending notification of his next of kin, Randol said.
No arrests have been made arrests and no suspect information was available, according to Randol.
The shooting is the city's 19th homicide this year, she said.
