SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) --San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee said Monday morning the city is trying to call in more Muni workers for the evening commute and expressed his frustration.
"Not to be able to have the buses running on time is extremely bad for the city. It's certainly bad for the economy. But just ordinary people getting to work, that's not really the people you want to get angry when you have a message to send us," Lee said.
The mayor also presented his biggest budget ever to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors Monday morning.
The $8.6 billion balanced spending plan closes a $57.7 million deficit.
It includes $98 million to build affordable housing in the city over the next two years and $137 million for public schools.
