SAN FRANCISCO -- A group of seven male suspects dragged a 24-year-old man off of a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus early Thursday morning in the city's Visitacion Valley neighborhood before pointing a gun and a knife at him and robbing him of his belongings, a police spokesman said.

San Francisco police received a report that the suspects had dragged the victim off the bus near the intersection of Santos Street and Velasco Avenue, near the Sunnydale public housing complex at about 3:30 a.m.

The seven suspects were all described as black males between 17 and 20 years old and dressed in dark clothing, according to San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza.

After dragging the victim off the bus, one of the suspects brandished a handgun while another suspect brandished a knife, Esparza said.

The suspects demanded the victim's property and made off with his cellphone, backpack and wallet containing cash, according to police.

The suspects fled on foot prior to the arrival of police and have not been arrested, Esparza said.
