CUPERTINO, Calif. (KGO) -- A Cupertino teen who had been missing since Monday morning has been found safe, police said.

Connor Sullivan attended his first period class at Monta Vista High School on Monday and then vanished.

Jeff Sullivan, the missing 17-year-old's father, told ABC7 News the family is joyous the teen returned home. He repeatedly thanked the community for all of the help searching.

Jeff Sullivan said there's a lot of emotion for the family to process as they too are likely learning what happened over the last few days.

Connor was last seen Monday morning attending first period class at Monta Vista High School. He missed his remaining classes and track practice.

Within the last hour, Santa Clara Sheriff's deputies left the home after taking the 17-year-old's statement.

The sheriff's office only confirmed that Connor Sullivan came home on his own. They didn't find him.

The teen's father said Connor Sullivan is well and said they'd likely be giving a statement regarding his return in the morning.

He again thanked the hundreds of people who came out to search for the teen over the last few days.
