Smithsonian National Zoo to debut baby panda

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Smithsonian National Zoo is set to debut it's newest family member, a panda cub named Bei-Bei.

The Panda House at the zoo has been closed since August, when the youngest one, Bei-Bei, was born. But Saturday, it'll be back open as he greets the general public for the very first time.

The zoo is expecting a huge crowd. When Bei-Bei's older sister Bao Bao made her debut in 2014, more than 4,000 people stood in line, some for hours, to see her.

The zoo has a live webcam of the Panda House, click here to view.
