SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Three northbound lanes on Interstate Highway 680 in San Ramon have reopened after closing when a truck carrying wet concrete crashed earlier this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported just before 8:30 a.m. near the Bollinger Canyon on-ramp to northbound Highway 680.

The substance spilled onto both sides of the freeway. Southbound lanes were briefly blocked but have since reopened. A far right northbound lane remains closed, according to the CHP.

Fire officials and Caltrans crews are working this morning to clean up the spill and fully reopen the roadway, CHP officials said.
