SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Police in San Jose ended their search for a gunman, which caused a nearby school to be on lockdown Tuesday afternoon.

This incident started around 11:35 a.m. when police responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Little Orchard Street and Stone Ave. Police say a suspect threatened a victim with a gun and fled with another suspect in a vehicle.

Rocketship Discovery Prep school was on lockdown for a time and the students were later evacuated from the school and released to their parents.

A short time later after the shelter in place was lifted, officers located both suspects at a nearby residence. The house was surrounded by law enforcement and the suspects peacefully surrendered to police.

San Jose police closed off surrounding streets in the area near Highway 101 and Julian Street. They are still conducting an investigation at the scene and say both suspects will be booked into county jail.

The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident with one of the suspects.
