Oklahoma man distracted by cellphone while walking steps on a snake

CHICKASHA, OK -- If you needed another reason not to text while you walk, look no further!

Surveillance camera video shows Tim Malone walking into the Oklahoma building where he works while looking down at his phone instead of where he was going. the footage shows him jumping in sheer panic after he realized he stepped on a snake!

"Adrenaline took over," Malone told KOCO-TV. "And then I realized it was a snake and I started kicking."

The four foot long bull snake bit him and then slithered away. Fortunately, that type of snake is not venomous.

Malone says he'll be sure to watch where he's going next time.
