Tracy police search for bear on the loose

TRACY, Calif. (KGO) -- Tracy police searched the area of Grantline and Corral Hollow after receiving a report of a bear sighting.

The first report of a bear sighting occurred on Monday at 8:45 pm in the area of Lowell and Orchard. Officers responded but did not locate the animal. This morning at 1:56 a.m. another citizen reported seeing the animal in the area of Grantline and Corral Hollow.

The Department of Fish and Game has been notified and will respond if the bear is located.
