Victim critically injured in North Oakland shooting

OAKLAND, Calif. -- A person was critically injured in a shooting in North Oakland this morning, police said.

The shooting was reported at 6:02 a.m. in the 6100 block of San Pablo Avenue.

Officers arrived and found evidence of a shooting but no victim.

Shortly afterward, the victim arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds and is considered to be in critical condition, police said.

No arrests had been made and no suspect information was immediately available in connection with the shooting, according to police.
