Video footage sought in fatal hit-and-run in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland police are asking residents for video footage or other information that could help them find a hit-and-run driver who killed a man in the Temescal neighborhood Saturday morning.

The victim, a 68-year-old Oakland resident, was struck at the intersection of 51st Street and Telegraph Avenue Saturday around 7:20 a.m., police said.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene and has not been located.
