The video shows Gabrielle Lemos being thrown to the ground by Deputy Marcus Holton in June. She suffered facial swelling and bruises.

The teen filed a federal civil right lawsuit against the county. That's on hold because Lemos is facing a misdemeanor resisting arrest charge.

The deputy said he was investigating suspected domestic abuse involving Lemos's sister.

The sheriff's office also released audio between Lemos and her mother, in which the teen refers to the deputy with a racial slur.
