VACAVILLE, Calif. -- Vacaville police have arrested a woman on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder of a Vacaville High School student last month.

Aimee Sabedra, 34,of Vacaville, was arrested Friday afternoon at a north Vacaville residence in connection with the killing of Demetrious Ward on Oct. 6, police Lt. Matt Lydon said.

The Solano County District Attorney's Office filed a complaint against Sabedra on Nov. 3.

Ward, 18, was found shot in the head in a parking lot of the Canyon Creek Apartments at 159 Aegean Way around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 6. He died three hours later at Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center.

Alijondro Edward Jones, 20, and Kai Hughes, 18, both of Vacaville, have been charged with Ward's murder. They pleaded not guilty Friday and a date for a preliminary hearing is scheduled to be set on Dec. 15.

Police said Jones approached Ward, who was seated in a pickup truck in the parking lot. Jones intended to rob Ward of a small amount of marijuana and shot him during the robbery, Lydon said.

Hughes was involved in planning the robbery, arranged the drug deal with Ward and traveled with Ward to the apartment complex, Lydon said. She was arrested for murder on Nov. 3 in Citrus Heights.

Jones was arrested for murder, attempted robbery and probation violations on Oct. 30 at the Solano County Probation Office in Fairfield, Lydon said.

Sabedra allegedly helped Jones after the murder, Lydon said.
