Woman fatally shot in Oakland identified
Oakland police need the public's help in finding the person who allegedly fatally shot a mother of four in East Oakland Sunday.

EAST OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland police need the public's help in finding the person who allegedly fatally shot a mother of four in East Oakland Sunday.

The woman who was shot and killed has been identified as 30-year-old Perla Avina.

Oakland police say Avina was with her husband. She was a passenger in a black 1998 Toyota Camry traveling south in the 400 to 600 blocks of 98th Avenue just after 12:30 p.m. when someone in another car shot her at least once.

Her husband rushed her home a couple blocks away to try and save her.

Investigators believe the shooting may be linked to a road rage incident.

No suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing.

Oakland police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to an arrest.
