Woman stabbed near San Francisco's 24th Street Mission BART station

SAN FRANCISCO -- A female victim was stabbed in San Francisco's Mission District Sunday morning, a police spokesman said.

The stabbing was reported at the BART Plaza at 24th and Mission streets around 10:45 a.m., San Francisco police spokesman Albie Esparza said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with at least one stab wound to the lower body and is now recovering.

Police arrested a man at the scene, but no information has been released on the suspect.
