Wrestling coach accused of battering students while they were naked

A wrestling coach in Clearwater, Florida was arrested after accusations surfaced that he had battered two high school students while they were naked.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office charged Scott Stern, 45, with two simple counts of battery on Tuesday. The Sheriff's office began investigating earlier in October after receiving a complaint about the alleged battery incident involving two students, although deputies believe there may be more involved. Deputies state Stern forced an 18-year-old in February to take off his clothes where Stern later then yelled at and grabbed the student's throat and groin.

Deputies say a second student was also battered between August 2013 to May 2014, where Stern allegedly forced a 17-year-old to take off his clothes, where Stern then struck the student on the buttocks with his hand and a ruler. Law enforcement officials have not released the name of the high school that Stern works at, but state that he most recently taught at a private high school in Pinellas County where he also taught history.
