Cat jumps off palm tree, hits the ground running

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (KGO) -- A cat got stuck at the top of a palm tree in New Zealand. Firefighters tried to rescue the crying kitty but when they got close, the little guy jumped and literally hit the ground running.

Animal rescuers eventually caught him with a net and took him to get checked out by a vet.

The kitty, now appropriately named Dennis the Menace, is OK now.
