NOVATO, Calif. (KGO) -- The first of the abandoned cats and kittens left outside the Marin Humane Society in Novato last week are now up for adoption.

Someone has been leaving large groups of felines in cardboard boxes outside the facility in the middle of the night.

Staffers have been busy vaccinating, microchipping and spaying the cats.

Maybe someone will want to adopt Little Wayne, the cat named after ABC7 News reporter Wayne Freedman.

For more information on adoptions, call The Marin Humane Society at (415) 883-4621.
