Emergency crews in Guatemala rescue dog trapped in mud for 18 hours

GUATEMALA (KGO) -- Here is an amazing story of animal survival after a mudslide in Guatemala.

Rescue crews searching for survivors of a mudslide uncovered a dog.

The local news outlet PrensaLibre.com posted video of it on YouTube.

The dog survived 18 hours buried in thick mud.

Crews named him "El Afortunado" which translates as "The Lucky One."
