Fresno firefighters rescue puppy who fell 50 feet into well

FRESNO, Calif. (KGO) -- A puppy named Timmy is recovering after he was rescued from a well in Fresno on Tuesday. The 6-week-old German Shepherd fell about 50 feet.

Firefighters safely got Timmy out of the 8-inch hole by lowering a knotted rope into it, looping the puppy's legs and torso and pulling him up.

Timmy is OK and the opening to the well has been sealed.
