Just as students of Geneva Classical Academy were ending their school day, an unexpected guest arrived.

An almost 10-foot-long alligator arrived at the Lakeland, Florida school on March 17. Police were able to contain the reptile before a professional alligator trapper was called.

The trapper was able to capture the animal in front of students and teachers, giving them a school day they will surely not forget.

"Our students received a good Polk County education today: how to trap a 9'11" gator!" the school wrote on its Facebook page.
