Bill Clinton makes final push for Hillary in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Former President Bill Clinton was busy Monday in the Bay Area with a total of five campaign appearances. They were relatively intimate gatherings designed to energize his wife Hillary Clinton's supporters to get out and vote.

Bill made his fifth and final stop of the day in San Francisco's Bayview District, where he emphasized the city's rich diversity and global awareness. "San Francisco is uniquely positioned to understand that every American should care about the implications of our elections and our choices and the rest of the world," he said.

At the same time, Hillary spoke before a crowd in Southern California, where she urged supporters to head to the polls.

The campaign is still trying to avoid an embarrassing loss in California.

Polls show a dead heat. "We have six elections tomorrow and we're going to fight hard for every single vote, especially right here in California, cheers," Hillary said.

Supporters say they're fired up, and at the San Francisco event, not just for Hillary, but for both of them. "I think he is very competent and knowledgeable and he comes as a two plus one kind of bonus," Hillary supporter Karan Angelini said.

"The two of them together, I think he will be a wonderful complement to her in the White House," Hillary supporter Dupsi Brown said.

And after casting their ballots on election day, Hillary supporters hope to be one step closer to that possibility.
