Cal police gear up for protest as Milo Yiannopoulos set for speech
Police at Cal are gearing up for what's expected to be a large protest against a speech by controversial Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- Police at Cal are gearing up for what's expected to be a large protest against a speech by controversial Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

The self-proclaimed internet troll has been criticized as being a racist and misogynist.

His appearance at UC Davis last month was canceled at the last minute because of rowdy protests.

Some students and professors oppose tonight's visit which is sponsored by the Berkeley College Republicans.

"I challenge his critics to sort of keep an open mind, hear what he has to say just for the two hours that he's here, and challenge them to offer a rebuttal and question to some of the talking points he's going to make," Jose Diaz said

There was a protest at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo last night where Yiannopoulos spoke.

Yiannopoulos used the event to plug an education grant he's making available exclusively to white men.
