SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Board of the Golden Gate Bridge District is meeting Friday to discuss a planned strike by mechanics and service workers, are set to walk off the job next Friday in a one-day strike.

The bus drivers say they will support the walk-out, which means bus service between San Francisco and Marin County will not operate that day.

The District's ferry service will run as usual.

The 13 Golden Gate Transit unions have been working without a contract since July. Both sides are at odds over pay and health care costs.
