LAS VEGAS -- ABC News coverage of the first Democratic debate of the 2016 presidential campaign from Las Vegas with commentary and analysis from the ABC News political team.

Five democrats met for the debate: former Senate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee, the Republican-turned independent-turned Democrat from Rhode Island.
