Sanders holds Bay Area rallies ahead of Election Tuesday

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGO) -- This is the last weekend before California's primary and all three presidential candidates are campaigning here in the Golden State.

Bernie Sanders is stumping in California ahead of Tuesday's primary, holding two rallies here in the Bay Area.

The first was in Fairfield at Solano Community College. He message was similar to much of what he has said over the past few weeks, including, if younger voters turn out to vote, he can win California.

Like his supporters who braved the heat to see him, there was no mention from Sanders of giving up. "I think were going to win this state and win the nomination," Sanders told the crowd.

Though Sanders speaks confidently of winning the nomination, many are asking, if he does lose, where will all these supporters turn? There are some polls that indicate Sanders supporters might actually vote for Trump. But many at the Sanders rallies said they wouldn't vote for Trump.

Sanders held a second, shorter event at UC Berkeley, where he spoke a bit on education.

Sanders will head to Southern California on Saturday. The big event is Monday in San Francisco, which includes a free concert featuring Dave Matthews and Fishbone at Crissy Field.
