SAN PEDRO, Calif. -- Just one day before the second Republican presidential debate, front-runner Donald Trump delivered a speech aboard the USS Iowa, while protesters tried to disrupt it.

As Veterans for a Strong America endorsed Trump aboard the ship, protesters chanted and booed loudly.

Before his speech began, supporters chanted "USA, USA" to try and drown out the protesters.

"I really don't care about all the protesters. They're probably all illegals," one supporter said.

In his speech, Trump addressed undocumented immigrants, saying they are treated better than U.S. veterans. He said he plans to reform the Veteran's Affairs Office to provide better health care.

When his speech was over, Trump threw out hats to his supporters.

On Wednesday, Trump will be center stage at the debate held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, where he is likely to face tough criticism from his fellow candidates.
