The most active volcano in the world has been putting on a dazzling, lava-filled show in Sicily. Experts say the eruptions could continue for at least several more days.

SICILY (KGO) -- Italy's Mount Etna is putting on a show.

The volcano continued to erupt Wednesday after shooting bright, red lava into the sky for the first time this year Monday.

Officials expect eruptions to continue for at least several more days.

Etna is the world's most active volcano. It is located on the island of Sicily and at nearly 11,000 feet, it's the highest volcano in Europe.
