NASA's Kepler Spacecraft finds new planet on new mission

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- At first if you don't succeed, try discovering another planet, and that's what NASA scientists confirmed about the latest find from the Kepler spacecraft!

NASA believes the new, extremely distant planet is about two-and-half times bigger than earth.

That discovery followed glitches aboard Kepler, problems which kept Kepler's telescope from moving properly.

So NASA engineers made it possible to use the craft's solar panels as pointing devices

A graduate student then made calculations that supported evidence of another planet.
