Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet?

No? Good. Because these days the process of figuring out the trendiest toys is done for you. Kids have decreed the trendiest toys of the 2014 holiday season, according to a new release by Walmart.

After you stop asking, "Really? Already?" take a look through the gallery above to see which 20 toys the hundreds of kids Walmart "let loose" on the toys couldn't get enough of. The costs listed are approximate prices from walmart.com.

The retailer noted some trends among the trendy. Creative toys, toys based on TV and movies, electronic toys and modern takes on "throwback" classics tended to be most popular.

Walmart's just one of many stores to compile a trendy toys wish list. Toys"R"Us and Kmart also release hot toy lists around this time. Both Toys"R"Us and KMart's lists came out on Sep 18 last year, so you can be on the lookout for more recommendations in the near future.

Consider them the season's first letters to Santa.

Update: Toys"R"Us released its "Fabulous 15" list on Sep 16. To your list of "hot toys," you can add "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Stretch 'N' Shout Leonardo" from Playmate Toys and "Little Live Pets Bird Cage Love Birds Double Pack" from Moose Toys. See the full list here.
