SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A new report shows most Americans will not be shopping on either Black Friday or Cyber Monday this year.

About 40 percent of Americans plan to shop on Black Friday, according to Bankrate.com. Only 28 percent plan to do that shopping in a store - the rest will shop online.

One big reason is that holiday shopping season is longer, with many retailers offering Black Friday prices on November 1, taking pressure off customers to shop the day after Thanksgiving.
