ABC7 helps Salvation Army in annual bell-ringing in San Francisco's Union Square

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Salvation Army received a helping hand Friday from members of the ABC7 News family.

Retired entertainment reporter Don Sanchez and traffic reporter Sue Hall took part in the 35th annual celebrity bell ringing today at Union Square.

The event helps spread holiday cheer and raise money for those in need this holiday season.

The red kettle effort actually began at the Ferry building in San Francisco back in 1891.
