Artists transform rice field to honor Mount Fuji
Japanese artists have turned a rice field into vibrant, natural art to honor Mount Fuji.

JAPAN (KGO) -- Japanese artists have turned a rice field into vibrant, natural art.

A village in northern Japan transformed this field to commemorate Mount Fuji's registration as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site last year.

It shows a heavenly maiden wearing a feathery robe floating over Mount Fuji.

The artists planted different colored rice to make the 160,000 square foot art.

This piece will remain on display through mid-August.
