Each week we focus on a different subject, affecting people who live and work in the Bay Area.

We are always so inspired when we meet California connections changing the world. We met a number of them over the past few months and want to bring you their stories. They are people who are working to make a difference the world, whether it's the arts, architecture, or agriculture.

We had the rare opportunity to meet the new young Minister of Agriculture in Afghanistan. Mr. Assadullah Zamir graduated from Cal State East Bay in Hayward. In addition, ABC7 has covered a number of stories on refugee situations around the world. Michelle Nunn from CARE USA joined us to talk about the Syrian refugee crisis.
