Tech company donates $40K to buy turkeys for South Bay charity

SAN JOSE (KGO) -- A South Bay charity now has all the money it needs to buy enough turkeys to feed thousands of families in Santa Clara County.

On Wednesday morning, a tech company presented Sacred Heart Community Service in San Jose with a check for $40,000.

Officials with Milpitas-based KLA-Tencor say they learned about the need by watching the news and decided to help.

Sacred Heart says it will use the money to buy about 5,000 turkeys.
