Couple marries seconds after meeting face-to-face
It's love in the age of social media. A couple who never met in person had a spontaneous wedding just seconds after meeting.

It's love in the age of social media. A couple who met on Instagram had a spontaneous wedding just seconds after meeting in real life.

Erica Harris and Arte Vann met a year ago over Instagram. But it wasn't until last Friday that they met face-to-face, kissed and then had an insta-marriage ceremony at the airport.

The newlyweds say it was their friends who suggested they get married, so Vann popped the question.

"And I said, 'Yeah, why don't we get hitched' and there was about a three-minute pause," Harris said.

"I tried to comment back and I lost my Internet connection and it said failed. All of a sudden their post came on and it said, 'We're waiting,'" Vann said.

Vann quit his job as a chef in New York, packed his bags and bought a one-way ticket to California.

They still need to make this whole insta-marriage legal and plan to do that soon.
