Nobody likes walking out to their car and seeing a traffic ticket on their windshield. But a British man went above and beyond in his attempt to avoid a parking violation when he left snacks and a note for officers requesting they not ticket his car.

After drinking with some friends, a British man made the responsible decision to not drive while drunk, according to Liverpool Confidential. The man, though, was parked in a one hour limit zone, and was concerned that he might get a ticket from officers.

So the man left a bag of chrisps and a humorous note explaining the situation on his windshield for any police officers that may be passing by.

Dear Mr/S traffic warden,

I will be at my car by 10:30 a.m. ...promise! Please do not book me, I had a Christmas pint with the lads and didn't want to drink and drive, here is a packet of chrisps on me!!

Happy Christmas!!

The note also warned anyone who wasn't a traffic officer to not take the bag of snacks. "Don't be that guy...no one likes that guy!"

It looks like all turned out well for the note writer. According to Liverpool Outlet, traffic wardens were near the car after time had expired and the writer was able to return to his car without any citation and the bag of crisps were still sitting on the windshield.
