Man spends $80,000 to declare his love, gets rejected

GUANGZHOU, China (KGO) -- A young man in China who went all out to win the heart of a co-worker didn't get the answer he hoped for.

The man bought 99 brand new iPhones to form a heart-shaped ring in a parking lot on Monday.

He used two years' worth of savings to confess his love ahead of Single's Day, which was Tuesday.

The woman listened but didn't immediately accept or reject his love.

On Tuesday, she made a decision and turned him down.

Not only is the man heartbroken, but he's also out the $80,000 he spent on those 99 iPhones.
