The LED light display on Market Street is getting a new light art sequence entitled "Light Rail".

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A new LED light display is being proposed for Market Street near the Embarcadero in downtown San Francisco entitled "Light Rail".

Two strands of colorful LED lights will illuminate two miles of Market Street from Embarcadero to Van Ness Avenue.

The cables would be strung overhead, parallel to the lines that provide electricity for MUNI buses.

The lights would move and change in sync with the BART and MUNI trains coming and going underneath Market Street.

"Light Rail" is conceived by the same group behind the "Bay Lights".

The project has a four-year permit from the city. They still need to raise $10 million to fund the project.
