Paramedics save life of 91-year-old man, reunite at hospital

Three paramedics saved the life of a 91-year-old man and met up at the hospital for a touching reunion. (KGO-TV)

Three paramedics met up with 91-year-old Joseph Leifkin at a New Jersey hospital for a touching reunion.

He was so happy to see them because they saved his life several days ago, performing CPR for more than 10 minutes after his heart stopped.

"Thanks to you I'm here," said Leifkin. "If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't be here."

"Just knowing that he's got another holiday together, a lot of us would love to have our dad's back," said Paramedic Sarah Crelin. "A holiday, we're glad this family has them."

On Wednesday, Joe celebrated his 91st birthday by taking his wife out to dinner.

It was a date Joe had to keep.

During his heart attack he begged paramedics to save his life because he promised his wife a night on the town.
